Insightful Readings

So Much of You Is Still Untold — Even to You

Nobody can see their own face without a mirror.

A life works the same way. You are inside yours — living it, managing it, carrying it — and the things that are most obvious about you from the outside are precisely the things you cannot see from where you are standing. Your gifts feel unremarkable, because they have always been there. Your patterns feel like circumstance rather than pattern.
A reading is a mirror held at a different angle. You tell me where you are standing; I look at it from outside the life you are living inside of, and I tell you what I can see from there.

You do not need to arrive with tidy words or a well-formed question. Bring what you have, and we will find the rest of it together.

So Much of You Is Still Untold — Even to You

A reading is where we go looking for the real you

Much of it has already been written down.

This is the part people find surprising. Across cultures that had no contact with one another — the sages of the Indus valley, the astronomers of Babylon, the scholars of the I Ching — the same conviction kept appearing: that a human being arrives already patterned, and that the pattern can be read.
They developed entirely different instruments for reading it. What is remarkable is not that they disagreed. It is how often, and how precisely, they arrive at the same person.

Three levels

A life is not lived on one level, so it cannot be read on one either. Which instrument I use depends on the altitude your question is living at.
Soul Reading works at the astral level — the long journey your soul has been on, most of it before this life began.
Astrology works at the cosmic level — how the sky you were born under, and the sky that keeps moving, are meeting your life.
Human Design works at the level of body and mind — how you are physically wired to move, decide and relate.
One is often enough. Two together will sometimes say what neither can say alone.

Soul Reading

Read without a birth chart.

Your soul did not begin at your birth. It has been travelling a long while, and it has been collecting the whole way — lessons completed, lessons abandoned halfway, gifts earned, debts outstanding, and conversations never finished.

The Sanskrit word is akasha — ether, the fifth element, the space in which everything that has happened is held. Every tradition that takes the soul seriously has some version of it: a record, a library, a book of the life.

In a soul reading, that is what I read. What your soul has already learned and does not need to repeat. What it came into this particular life to learn, and how far along it is. Where it is trying to go, and what keeps interrupting the journey. Which of the significant people in your life it came here to meet, and why.

It explains the things that have no explanation in this lifetime — a fear you have carried since childhood that nothing in your childhood produced, a talent that arrived fully formed, a person you recognised before you had met them.

And then the practical part, which matters most: how to bring the soul into alignment with your mind and your body. When those three are pulling in different directions, no amount of effort produces a life that feels like yours.

This is the one reading that does not rest on a birth chart. We talk, you tell me what is alive for you at the moment, and I read from there. It is often the most disarming for exactly that reason — there is little to verify it against, and things surface that only the person sitting in front of me could possibly recognise. I watch them recognise it.

Astrology

Date, time and place of birth.

For most of human history, astrology and astronomy were one discipline.

The same people who charted the planets for navigation, for the calendar, for knowing when to sow and when to harvest, were also reading what those movements meant for a human life. In India it was formalised as Jyotish and studied as one of the six limbs of the Vedas, alongside grammar, phonetics and mathematics — not as belief, but as a discipline with rules, proofs and a body of literature.

What most people meet today is the thinnest slice of it: what will happen, and when. That is genuinely in there. It is also perhaps a tenth of what a chart holds, and to my mind the least interesting tenth.

What a chart actually is

Twelve houses. Each one a territory of a life — the body and its vitality, money and what you value, the way you speak and think, home and lineage, creativity and children, health and daily rhythm, partnership, what is shared and inherited, belief and how far you travel from where you began, work and standing, community, and what stays hidden.

Every planet sits somewhere among those twelve, in a sign, at a degree, in relationship with every other planet. There are easily twelve hundred ways to read twelve houses. And beneath them sit the divisional charts — a separate chart for marriage, another for career, another for wealth, another for health — each one magnifying a single territory into a full map of its own.
It is not a horoscope. It is an enormous document, and the subject of it is you.

It reads backwards as clearly as forwards

This surprises people more than anything else. A chart does not only suggest what is ahead. It shows the trajectory you have already been travelling — which seasons shaped you, why certain years cost far more than they should have, why a particular decade was heavy and the one after it was not.

A great deal of peace comes from that alone. What felt like personal failure very often turns out to have been weather.

And then the part I care about most — what to do with it

Where your money blocks actually sit, and what genuinely clears them rather than what you have been told to try.

Which areas of your chart are lying dormant, and can be deliberately activated.

Whether meditation is truly your path, or whether your nature needs a different discipline altogether — because the practice that transforms one person does very little for another.

Which health vulnerabilities to keep an eye on across a lifetime, so that you are not ambushed by them at fifty.

Used properly, astrology is not a forecast. It is closer to an instruction manual for a machineyou have been operating without one.

Everything is written in more than one place

The same planets that sit in your chart sit in the lines of your palms. The traditions that read hands, faces, names and numbers are reading one pattern through different instruments. I do not treat them as rival systems competing to be correct — I treat them as cross-references. When three of them say the same thing about a person, that is when I pay close attention.

Human Design

Date, time and place of birth.

Ra Uru Hu, who brought Human Design into the world, described what you are born into as a costume put on at the moment of birth.

I have never found a better way to say it. Everyone arrives wearing something — a particular way of moving, of deciding, of meeting other people. Worn correctly it fits so well you stop noticing it. Worn against its own grain, you spend years feeling faintly awkward inside your own life and never quite knowing why. The costume does not change. Your relationship to it can change entirely.

Human Design is how I read the costume. It is young — assembled in the 1980s — and it is a synthesis rather than a lineage: astrology, the I Ching, the Kabbalah and the chakra system drawn together into a single map laid over the body. Its usefulness to me has nothing to do with its age. It is that it is exact in the places where older systems stay broad.

What it is unusually good at

— Where your energy is genuinely your own, and where you have been quietly borrowing it from whoever is in the room
— How you are built to make a decision, which for a great many people is not with the mind they have been using for it
— What you radiate that everyone around you has seen for years before you saw it yourself
— Why certain people and certain rooms leave you depleted, and others leave you brighter
— The particular note your system sounds when you have drifted off your own path — and every design sounds a different one
— What you are here to contribute, written in the part of the chart you are least conscious of

I do not read it as a system standing on its own. I use it the way you would use a second opinion — it either confirms what the chart and the soul reading are already saying, or it reaches somewhere neither of them could.

“There is no handicap in a design”

Ra Uru Hu, founder of Human Design

What a reading is not

I would rather say this plainly than have you discover it in the room.

Nothing here is one hundred per cent predictive, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling certainty rather than insight. These are instruments for reading pattern, tendency and timing. They illuminate the landscape. The walking is still yours, and so is the choosing.

What surfaces in a reading also has to meet you where you are. Something I say may land immediately, or make no sense for a year, or never land at all. That is not a failure of the reading — it is the ordinary way truth arrives, and a thing that is not ready to be heard will simply wait.

And sometimes the answer is not the one you came hoping for. It is still an answer, and in my experience it is usually the more useful of the two.

How we work

Before we begin, I will ask for your birth details — date, time as precisely as you can find it, and place. If the time is unknown, say so rather than guessing; there is still a great deal to work with, and I would rather have less and have it be true.

I will also ask where things stand in your life at the moment. This is not paperwork. It lets me arrive already knowing something of you, so we begin somewhere real rather than at the beginning. You may ask for a particular reading if you already know which one you want — most people do not, and that is entirely fine. Reading which level your question is living at is the first piece of the work.

A soul reading usually completes in a single sitting. When we work across levels — soul with Human Design, or Human Design with astrology — it opens across more than one session. Not the same material stretched thinner: each layer needs time to settle before the next can land, and a person given all of it at once receives very little of it.

You do not need to decide any of this in advance. We begin where your question is, and I will tell you honestly whether there is more worth opening.

The four areas everything tends to come back to

Whatever brings a person in, the reading almost always lands in one of these — and often in more than one, because they are rarely as separate as they feel.

Wealth and success
Where your abundance actually comes from — which is rarely where you have been looking for it. What you are genuinely built to do, what you are only capable of doing, and the difference between the two. The ceiling you keep meeting, and whether it belongs to you or was handed down.

Purpose and direction
What you are here for, in terms concrete enough to act on rather than admire. The thread running through everything you have already done, which most people cannot see until someone traces it for them. And what to do next, which is usually smaller and nearer than expected.

Health and vitality
Where your energy is reliable and where it is borrowed. The conditions your particular body needs in order to recover — sleep, solitude, company, rhythm — which are not the same for everyone and are almost never what the internet recommends. And where you have been spending a resource you were not designed to spend continuously.

Relationships and love
Who you draw toward you and why. The pattern in your choosing, which is usually older than any of the people it has involved. What you need in order to feel met, what you are actually offering, and why certain people are in your life at all — sometimes for reasons that predate this life.

All four can be read. Not all four in one sitting — and anyone promising you that is promising you something thin.

What you walk away with

• Answers — including to questions you did not know you were carrying
• Your blueprint: the specific design you were built with, rather than a type or a category
• Language for something you have sensed for years and never been able to name
• Your strengths named precisely, so you stop underusing what comes easily to you
• Your weaknesses named without shame, so you stop building a life that depends on them
• An understanding of how to make decisions as yourself, rather than as the person you were trained to be
• Knowing which season you are in, what it is asking, and that it has an end
• Relief — a great deal of what you have privately held against yourself turns out to be design rather than failing
• An explanation for the people in your life, and what you are doing in each other's stories
• Permission to stop pursuing things that were never yours to pursue
• Where your abundance lies — which direction it comes from for you, even where the how is still yours to find
• A path you can build on, rather than a description you can only admire
• A particular kind of freedom: the sense that paths exist, and are open to you
• The Surbhi Seal — three things I saw, one thing revealed, one direction forward

And it rarely stays in one part of you. The mind quietens, because it is no longer running a case against you. The emotions settle, because the thing you thought was a character flaw turns out to have a name and a function. The body follows, usually last — decisions made correctly cost far less energy than decisions made against yourself, and a person who stops fighting their own wiring often notices they are simply less tired. None of it is dramatic. It is more like a long argument finally ending.

I am not a person who does this sort of thing. I booked it in a bad year, mostly to prove to a friend that it would not help. What happened instead is that Surbhi described a pattern in how I choose people — not vaguely, the actual pattern, the one I would have denied if anyone had put it to me directly. It was sitting in the chart, apparently, and had been the whole time. I sat in my car afterwards for twenty minutes. Nothing about my life changed that day, but I have made every decision since with my eyes open, and that is not nothing.

If you want to work with what the reading shows

A reading gives you the map. Some people need nothing further — they see it, and they move.

Others want to work with what has surfaced: to clear it, build around it, and change how the life is actually lived. That is what the Breakthrough journeys are for, and a reading is often the most natural place to begin one.
